My first official blog. http://www.joshandmarie.com/marie/2008/07/15/my-first-official-blog/ http://www.joshandmarie.com/marie/2008/07/15/my-first-official-blog/#comments Tue, 15 Jul 2008 22:14:53 +0000 Marie Young http://www.joshandmarie.com/marie/?p=15 Hello everyone!  This is my first official blog.  I finally have a chance to post after several weeks of craziness.  As a lot of you know I am a huge Dave Ramsey fan.  My husband and I have been kicking our butts into financial fitness for the last year or more.  We’ve paid of 30,000 in debt and we’re working on an emergency fund as the next step.  It hasn’t been easy.  We’ve had to just say no to credit cards,  the Friday night pizza cravings, and the lie that you will always have a car payment.   People thought we were crazy.  I’ve heard so many times…you will always have a car payment, you need to have a high credit score, you need to make sure you have a credit card for emergencies.  This is normal for most Americans.
