Passion. It’s what drives me. I have many passions in life. A passion for music, a passion for technology, a passion for service, a passion for leadership, a passion for the Church, a passion for family.
That’s really what defines me.
Because of my many passions, I’m always doing something. I get excited to spend time with my wife, my family and friends. Musically, I can usually be found playing guitar, singing, recording, mixing, producing, writing or just listening. On the tech front, I love designing (and fixing) websites, reading/learning about new things (Google Reader rocks!), making videos, getting people organized, becoming more productive, and finding new and exciting ways of using technology in my life and in the church. Basically, I love to come up with new ideasĀ and make old ideas better and get people excited about things.
I was born in a very rural area, but I moved to Cincinnati in 1998 when I started college at the University of Cincinnati (Civil and Environmental Engineering). In 2005, I married the greatest girl in the world, Marie, and I’m really excited about the fact that I get to go through everything with her. And now we’re expecting our first little one in January 2011, and we can’t wait to meet her!
Currently, Marie and I are part of the Amelia Church of Christ where I am privileged to serve on staff as the Creative & Communications Minister and she is the Children’s Minister. I’m very humbled to be part of a leadership with a group who honestly wants to see the church grow and prosper and who have a serious passion for it. I love passion (see above). I also love being a part of a church leadership that is honest enough to admit that we’re all screw-ups but knows that God can use us in spite of that.
So there you have it. That’s me in a nutshell. I know you’re probably sorry you asked, but that’s what you get for reading this far.
If you’re ever on the east side of Cincy, come and visit our church. We’d love to meet you – especially if you’re a messed up person like us!
Disclaimer: While I talk a lot about our church on here and am on the staff, my opinions don’t necessarily reflect those of the Amelia Church of Christ (but they should – because I have great opinions!).
