About

Josh Young - Cincinnati, OH

Passion. It’s what drives me. I have many passions in life. A passion for music, a passion for technology, a passion for service, a passion for leadership, a passion for Christ’s church, a passion for family.

That’s really what defines me.

Because of my many passions, I’m always doing something (just ask my wife). I get excited to spend time with my wife, my family and friends. Musically, I can usually be found playing guitar, singing, recording, mixing, producing, writing or just listening. On the tech front, I love designing (and fixing) websites, reading/learning about new things (Google Reader rocks!), making videos, getting people organized, becoming more productive, and finding new and exciting ways of using technology in my life and in the church. Basically, I love to come up with new ideas (or make old ideas better) and get people excited about things.

I was born in a very rural area, but I moved to Cincinnati in 1998 when I started college at the University of Cincinnati (Civil and Environmental Engineering). In 2005, I married the greatest girl in the world, Marie, and I’m really excited about the fact that I get to go through everything with her.

Currently, Marie and I are part of the Amelia Church of Christ where I am privileged to serve as a deacon. I’m very humbled to be part of a leadership with a group of men who honestly want to see the church grow and prosper and who have a serious passion for it. I love passion (see above). I also love being a part of a church leadership that is honest enough to admit that we’re all screw-ups but knows that God can use us in spite of that. I’m also the co-director of our Worship Ministry and serve on our Creative Planning Team. And I can usually be found playing guitar, bass, drums, running sound and/or singing wherever I’m needed on any given Sunday.

So there you have it. That’s me in a nutshell. I know you’re probably sorry you asked, but that’s what you get for reading this far.

If you’re ever on the east side of Cincy, come and visit our church. We’d love to meet you - especially if you’re a screw-up!

Disclaimer: While I talk a lot about our church on here, my opinions don’t necessarily reflect those of the Amelia Church of Christ (but they should - because I have great opinions!).
