WE’RE DEBT FREE!!!!!

That’s right! After just over a year of busting it, we’re debt free except for the house!
We paid off about $30,000 in just over a year working Dave Ramsey’s baby steps.
Guys, this just plain works if you do it. It’s not easy, but it’s not that hard either once you get started.
On a similar note, we just started going through Financial Peace University this past Tuesday. Marie and I are really excited to go through the course with a couple of our friends. Even though we’ve been on Dave’s plan for a year, we are still learning a LOT by going through FPU. Can’t wait until next Tuesday!
Now it’s on to baby step number 3 – a fully funded emergency fund of 3 to 6 months expenses.

Congrats! I haven’t gone through any of Dave Ramsey’s stuff, but I’ve heard enough to know what he’s all about. Definitely a plus to be debt free.
Now this is the cynic coming out…but I think it’s kind of funny to hear “we’re debt free…except for_____” It’s like, saying “I’m completely healthy, except for the lung cancer.” However, with 30k paid down in a year, you’re much, much closer than most. Congrats!
congrats man! My wife and I started the Ramsey plan about 3 years ago and couldn’t be happier. On to baby step 5!
